Mitchell W. Legler is a business lawyer who specializes in representing clients in corporate, commercial and real estate law, and who provides legal and financial advice to his clients. Mr. Legler has guided multiple companies through successful initial public offerings (IPOs). Each became a Nasdaq National Market company with market capitalizations which reached in excess of $500 million. Mr. Legler recently retired as a director of Stein Mart, Inc. a public company, and has served as a director of numerous private companies in the bridge products, international transportation, marine dealership and real estate development fields. He is currently the Chief Legal Officer of the Legendary Companies and Chairman of the Board of OneWater Marine Holdings, a Nasdaq company with over 70 marine dealerships.
He enjoys recognition in numerous professional legal directories, including: The Best Lawyers in America in the field of corporate law each year since its 1983 inception; Chambers USA, America’s Leading Lawyers for Business 2005; the International Bar Association’s Who’s Who Legal, as a leader in Mergers & Acquisitions, Florida Super Lawyers publication; Legal Elite, Florida Trend Magazine 2004 2006; Oxford Who’s Who of Executives, Professionals & Entrepreneurs, 2009/2010; and Stanford Who’s Who, 2010. He has lectured on commercial matters and co-authored publications on commercial law.
Mr. Legler graduated from the University of North Carolina with Honors in 1964 where he was a member of the scholastic honor societies of Phi Eta Sigma and Phi Beta Kappa.
He was awarded his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Virginia in 1967 where he was on the editorial board of the Virginia Law Review and a member of the scholastic honor society of The Order of the Coif. He is licensed to practice law in Florida and Virginia.
Pete is a Florida native, born and raised in Winter Park. He is a graduate of Birmingham Southern College with a degree in Business Administration. Pete spent 24 years in Banking business and was President/CEO of BankTrust until 2005. He has spent the last 9 years in real estate development and management.
Tracie joined the company in 2012 with over 20 years experience in both public accounting and private industry. Prior to Legendary, Tracie served as Controller and Chief Accounting Officer for The Sterling Companies, a full service real estate development company which had over $1.5 billion in active development during this time.
Graduated from Samford University in Birmingham, AL with Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Tracie is a CPA and CGMA and is member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Dwight Lorenzen has been a force in the real estate and resort market since 1974, when he joined Coldwell Banker in Dallas, Texas. He is known for his involvement in all facets of commercial, residential, and resort real estate and has played a significant role in several business endeavors. One such endeavor is the Regatta Bay project, a 760-acre upscale residential golf and marina community located in Destin, Florida.
Mr. Lorenzen is the partner for acquisition/development financing, planning, zoning, and horizontal land development. Additionally, he is the project manager for the sales team and construction company retained to sell homesites, houses, condominiums, and duplex units. He oversees the construction and design of the upscale Regatta Bay Golf & Yacht Club and is the Managing Partner for all the Golf and Yacht Club operations.
Mr. Lorenzen has been a developer or investor in several other projects, including Portico in South Padre Island, Texas, and Palms of Freeport in Freeport, Florida. In addition to his extensive real estate career, he has had several consulting assignments with companies such as First Republic Bank, Legendary, Inc., and Space Center, Dallas. Dwight Lorenzen received his BBA from Southern Methodist University in 1972.
Rodney is an avid fisherman, diver, spearfisherman, commercial pilot, engineer and overall lover of outdoors. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and master’s degree in Structural Engineering from the University of Central Florida and is a registered professional engineer in Alabama and Florida. He has spent many vacations in the Bahamas and around the Gulf coast with his wife and three boys, all making him a perfect fit for overseeing all of our Marina Developments.
Derek is an experienced construction and real estate professional with a collaborative and motivational approach to the construction process. He has worked in multiple market sectors with diverse project delivery methods and has led the construction of over three million square feet of commercial real estate. Derek is a graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Building Constriction and is a licensed General Contractor, Realtor, and Home Builder.
Greg, a native of Birmingham, Alabama, earned a degree in Business Management from Auburn University. He hails from a family with a background in land development and has been involved in this industry for more than four decades. Greg’s extensive portfolio encompasses various types of developments, such as marinas, residential, student housing, hospitality, commercial, and mixed-use projects. He also oversaw the development services of engineering, architectural, parking, software, and real estate firms, apart from his land development responsibilities.
